PARTY PARTY PARTY

Dear sMILEies I would like to send you some information about the party on Friday. We start at around 7 o'clock. To get to the house in the countryside, you have to take a train. The best thing is to take the 18.55 o'clock train from Bern Main Station. The train leaves towards "Schwarzenburg". You have to get a ticket until "Schwarzwasserbrücke". With a half-price ticket that will cost you 3.60 CHF. After 25 minutes of train ride you arrive at the small station, where Corinne or me will pick you up. We have to then walk for around 15 minutes to get to the house. The last bit of the walk goes down a rather steep path, so wear good shoes and if you have bring a torch.

Christmas party in a 300-year old mill in the forest

Dear sMILEies

Some of you might know that I am living in a 300-year old mill in the forest (see picture in the attachment). Corinne and me would like to invite you there before Christmas to celebrate the end of the first term. The party will take place on Friday, 15 December 2006 from around 7 o'clock onwards (there will be no exam on that friday but just normal classes until 4 o'clock). It would be nice if you all bring some special food and drinks from your home country.

Thomas Cottier will come as well and offered to bring some Swiss wine :-) Thank you very much for that!!

Reading Material of next week is ready

Dear sMILEies

The Reading Material of next week is ready and can be picked up from your pigeon hole. Let me make a few comments on it:

* Prof. Gugler wrote some questions to each article. You find the questions in front of each article in your Reading Material. Those questions are not to be answered in a written form but should be a help for you to be able to better read the texts.
* The Assessment is scheduled for Friday. Prof. Gugler will make a Multiple Choice Exam that will take place on Friday afternoon. The time will be announced as it depends on the lenght of the exam. Stefan Amarasinha on the other hand will a few questions that have to be answered in a Essay of 2-pages. We will put the deadline for Friday 12 o'clock in order for you to have the afternoon to study for the MC exam.
