IMF Paper mentione din class today (28th March)

Hello all

Here comes the link to the paper mentioned in class today. I spoke to Mr. Auboin and showed him the paper on my laptop.

http://www.imf.org/external/np/res/exrate/2004/eng/051904.pdf

There was some discrepancy between the title he had written on the flip chart and the exact title on the IMF website.

Thanks for coming to my presentation last week.

I have attached a 1 page Word document that summarises most of the commands that were shown last week. Please do let me know if there are any typos in this document.

If anyone has more questions about these commands or if there is need for another round of presentations, do let me know.

Feedback is appreciated with thanks.

Tips & Tricks in Searching with Google & Other Search engines

Hello all,

It has been great meeting you folks in the class ! I have not had a single boring day.

I work at the Department of Information Technology at the Council of Europe (www.coe.int) in Strasbourg. In fact, for the time being, I do return on Thursday evenings to Strasbourg so that I can work on Fridays... Tiring to say the least...

The Council of Europe is a massive document factory and we are realising the need to deploy proper storage and search methodologies in order to be able to retrieve information from our enormous store of data. One of the projects that I am involved in is devising better search solutions and understanding how search works.

Council of Europe Website and Searching there using Google

Strasbourg, France, 25th Oct

Hello guys,

Greetings again from Strasbourg !

For those of you who wonder who I am, I was in MILE 6 and did the first term. I will be back for the next 2 terms starting in January. I work at the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, in the IT Department.

Anyway, there is a lot of information available in the public websites of the COE at www.coe.int For some of the Law courses we had last year, a lot of material was available at the COE website.

Greetings from France!

Strasbourg, France, 11th October

Hello folks

I started last year in MILE 6 anbd did the first term. I would be coming back in January 2007 to complete the rest of the programme so you guys have escaped my boring comments and contributions in class - at least for a while !

I work at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. Moved from Oslo, Norway to France in 2002. I work in the Department of Information Technology as some sort of a minor chieftain. Among other dubious claims to fame whilst doing MILE 6 have been the discovery of the "shisha bar" in Gerechtigkeitsgasse, Bern and harnessing its potential in catalysing quasi-academic activities... I urge you all to try this den...
